Dosage:

During the 1st week of treatment, always take one half of recommended dose.
For the duration of treatment (3 months to 2 years as needed) take the recommended dose, being: 1 level teaspoon in a glass of water before meals, 3 times daily.
After treatment, reduce the Erbasit dose, but make sure that urinary pH level is always in the 7 range, otherwise increase the dose.
If urinary pH levels of 4 or 5 are observed, you may double the doses, but only on a short term basis, (one week). In this case medical supervision or other competent health specialist is recommended.
Make a habit of checking urinary pH levels 2 or 3 days a month.

Potassium Citrate

Potassium citrate is used to make the urine less acidic. This effect helps the kidneys get rid of uric acid, thereby helping to prevent gout and kidney stones. Potassium citrate can also prevent and treat certain metabolic problems (acidosis) caused by kidney disease. It is also used as an alkanising agent in the treatment of mild urinary tract infections such as cystitis.

Calcium citrate

Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body (the human body contains approximately 2.5 pounds) and 99% of this is stored in the bones and teeth. The remaining calcium is in the bloodstream and the fluids surrounding the cells. It is an essential mineral with a wide range of biological functions. Calcium absorption declines with age. If the body does not get enough calcium, it will rob it from the bones, causing them to become porous and fragile. It cannot be over-stressed that calcium supplementation is of major importance for maintaining strong, healthy bones and slowing bone loss.

Calcium citrate plays an important role in producing hormones and enzymes that regulate digestion and metabolism, promotes strong bones and teeth and helps maintain normal pH levels.

Magnesium citrate

Magnesium is needed por more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, supports a healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium also helps regulate blood sugar levels, promotes normal blood pressure, and is known to be involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis. Dietary magnesium is absorbed in the small intestines. Magnesium is excreted through the kidneys.

Sodium citrate

Sodium citrate is used to make the urine less acidic. Urine that is less acidic helps the kidneys get rid of uric acid, helping to prevent gout and certain types of kidney stones (urate). This medication can also prevent and treat certain metabolic problems (acidosis) caused by kidney disease. Citrate salts (which contain potassium and sodium) belong to a class of drugs known as urinary alkalinizers. Sodium citrate is used to relieve discomfort in mild urinary tract infections such as cystitis.

Silicon oxide

Silicon plays a major role in development of the bones. In order to maintain healthy strong bones and joints, silicon is very much essential.
